What is this and who are you?
Our company number is 04601831 and we are registered in the Companies Register kept by Regional Court in Brno, section C, file 90886. You can find us at Bohuslava Martinu 41A, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What can I use Quantopy for?
You can use Quantopy to collect, store, control and own the information you generate every day at each and every step. You can access the tools we provide and easily exercise your rights via our web based app which serves as your control centre to get privacy and your personal dataset right.
How do I get privacy and my personal dataset right?
First, you will need to open an account through the sign up process. There are three conditions to open your account. An e-mail address, credit or debit card, and a Yubikey .
When you sign up, we will generate a dedicated personal and private storage for you – a safe place for your personal dataset. Because Quantopy is a paid service ( and certainly not a cheap one ), you are substantially investing in building your personal dataset both by generating the data and by paying for the tools to get it right. Therefore, it is legally protected, and all rights to all the information in your personal dataset are retained by you. The default legal protection lasts for 15 years, but each time your personal dataset is substantially modified, which practically happens each day, a new set of rights is created for you.
That being said, your personal dataset can reliably represent who you are only if it cannot be willingly altered by anyone, including you. The evolution of you as a human being is founded on all your past, present and future actions. Therefore, you cannot selectively delete your data while using Quantopy so that the entire evolution of you stays written in your personal dataset.
Last but not least, your personal dataset is stored privately and encrypted under your control from your registration to the termination of your account. No one including us can access it without your prior permission and knowledge.
Does it involve any payments from my side?
As we have already mentioned, Quantopy is a paid, subscription based service. However, we provide you with a 14 day evaluation period. First monthly payment will be charged automatically the next day after the evaluation period expires.
The monthly payment is for everything you will need to get privacy and your personal dataset right. For all current and future features, apps and tools. You can find further details including the supported payment methods and our refund policy on the Pricing page.
How can I close my account and what happens next?
You can stop using Quantopy, and thus withdraw from this Agreement, by closing the account and/or cancelling your subscription anytime in the settings of your app. By doing that, your account together with your personal dataset will be deleted immediately.
If you close your account within the evaluation period we won´t charge your credit card. Still, even after that period, we will always refund your last payment within 14 days from the account closure.
Can you close my account without my permission?
We will close your account immediately only if we have to do so under any law, regulation, or court order or if you've failed to resolve issues with your monthly payment within additional time frame given to you. Even in these situations you will be informed both prior and after we take any action.
What are my responsibilities?
The main responsibility is to take care of your personal dataset and maximize its value. Full control over it is a privilege and obligation at the same time. It is in your best interest to have only one account at any given time.
You are entirely responsible for the data in your personal dataset and for any consequences arising in connection with it. That includes your liability for breach of any applicable law or regulation in the relevant jurisdictions, including the jurisdiction where you are a resident or from where you are using Quantopy. Keeping things legal, without any abuse and exploits will enhance the experience on both sides. Besides that it is up to you to decide how you'll approach using Quantopy.
Are you responsible if something goes wrong on your side?
We are aware that you are willing to trust us to help you handle privacy and your personal dataset. We'll do as much as is reasonably possible, both personally and technically, to make sure that privacy and your personal dataset are kept right, that Quantopy is safe and accessible to you at any given time.
However, we can't promise that Quantopy will be free from faults whether ours or those of the third parties we rely on to provide Quantopy to you. What we can promise is that we’ll always do as much as reasonably possible to solve any problems with Quantopy, no matter what the cause.
To answer your question completely, of course we are. It is not like we could ultimately limit your rights or force you to waive these rights anyway. However, we will only be responsible for any loss that we could have foreseen at the time we entered into this Agreement.
How can I make a complaint?
If you're not satisfied with Quantopy, you can contact us with any complaint at email@example.com. We'll try our best to put things right. If you are confident that we did not treat your complaint with appropriate care, you can still use the links on our Contact page to file an official complaint to the authorities.
How will you communicate with me?
We are trying to keep things digital. With that said, we'll try to keep the majority of our mutual communication in the app. The rest of the communication, mainly when you contact us with any of your concerns, will happen through the e-mail.
Can you change these terms and conditions?
Yes, we will update our Privacy and Personal dataset in the future when the legislation changes, when features, apps and tools are added or dismissed and to reflect the conceptual changes in our shared vision of what makes and does not make sense while moving forward.
Is there anything else I should now?
Yes, but only a few more things.
You shouldn't accept this Agreement and use Quantopy unless you acknowledge and agree with these terms and conditions.
You cannot transfer any rights or obligations under this Agreement to anyone else. This agreement is personal to you, to your privacy and to your personal dataset.
The laws of Czech Republic apply to this Agreement. If you want to take legal action against us, only the courts of Czech Republic can deal with any matter relating to this Agreement unless otherwise required by a mandatory law of a member state of the European Union or any other jurisdiction. Not enforcing our rights, or delay with enforcing them, does not prevent us from enforcing them in the future.
